Nadine Bariteau is a interdisciplinary artist whose practice is rooted in printmaking, sculpture, installation and video performance. Her works are studies of permanence and ephemerality in the interplay between human-made and natural environments. She is a graduate of Concordia University in Montréal and obtained her Masters of Fine Arts at York University in Toronto.

How do you usually get inspired again after working on a big project/painting?

I always have more ideas that I have time

Natural things like dry sea weeds, shells, stones, animal bones etc.

What super power do you want to have?

Travel through time

Often at night if I can't sleep

Behind the Scenes – Filmmaker’s Experience

This is my thrid filming artist in 401 richmond. I was invited to Open Studio an artist-run printmaking centre, where many old printing machines are in use. The beautiful silver printed paper is laying on the big table, shimmering under the light. She said that’s the true colour of ocean.
